Rocky Shore Adventures

On Monday 16th March we had a Junior Syndicate trip to the rock pools at Tahuna Beach. We piled into cars soon after play and travelled down to the beach, meeting at the Tahuna Playground. We walked along the sand in groups with the parents that helped with transport and soon we were at the rock pools gazing into another world of tiny sea creatures. The laminated pictures helped us to identify some of the rock pool animals. One of our parents brought along some fish bait that we put into the pools and we were surprised at the number of shrimps that came out of hiding for a feast, then the crabs and fish appeared. We could have stayed for hours but the tide was starting to come in so it was time to head back to the playground for lunch and then back to school.
A big thank you to all the parents that helped out with transport and group supervision on our trip.
