Clever Room 4 (Rata) Writers

Here are 4 awesome stories that were read at Writers Spot in Assembly in Term 1.

I have a cat called Twinkle. He gets dirty when he goes out to the bushes. My cat is so naughty because he wants breakfast all the time. My cat sleeps on my bed sometimes and he likes sleeping on Tyler's bed too. He sometimes doesn't sleep at night because he's not sleepy. He is funny because he can stand up when he is outside the door.   Isabelle Room 4

I have a boy cat. He digs in my sandpit. My cat can do a rolypoly. He sleeps on my bed because he gets cold in the night. My cat is really naughty when he brings rats into my house.

I have a cat called Harry. He loves butter and he is very cute. He is naughty because he meows when he already has food in his bowl. My cat loves meat. I feed Harry his meat. We get meat because he gets sick of biscuits. My cat sleeps on my spinning chair that goes up and down. Sometimes he sleeps in the washing basket and he tips it over. Sophie Room 4

I have a cat and his name is Star. He likes bringing in birds and mice. My cat is silly because he can stand on two legs. My cat sleeps inside so he can keep very warm.

Rocky Shore Adventures

On Monday 16th March we had a Junior Syndicate trip to the rock pools at Tahuna Beach. We piled into cars soon after play and travelled down to the beach, meeting at the Tahuna Playground. We walked along the sand in groups with the parents that helped with transport and soon we were at the rock pools gazing into another world of tiny sea creatures. The laminated pictures helped us to identify some of the rock pool animals. One of our parents brought along some fish bait that we put into the pools and we were surprised at the number of shrimps that came out of hiding for a feast, then the crabs and fish appeared. We could have stayed for hours but the tide was starting to come in so it was time to head back to the playground for lunch and then back to school.
A big thank you to all the parents that helped out with transport and group supervision on our trip.
